From now, I will dedicated every Friday as a day to talk only animal. Not because I just love animal but would like to let the world know or at least to those who got a chance and came across my site know respecting a life has not just limited to human being but to all types of animals.

My Wonderful Life With My Lovely Doggies

Any who has read my blog already knew I am a big animal love especially to dogs. From the time before I born til now, I have never got a moment that don’t have a dog with me. I am actually a dog kid and have been raising with different types of dog including German Shepard, Doberman, Rottweilers, San Bernard…and now I have my lovely Popeye, a lovely little miniature pinschure. We consider him as a little brother of my son and they are just so lovely playing around, chasing each other every single day.

Greyhound’s Life

Greyhound racing is a serious issue in some countries such as Australia. Each year there are over 20,000 greyhounds were bred hoping to find the fast runner. But the fact is not every greyhound is suited for racing and for those who is not qualify to be a runner, the result is being killed. An estimated of 18,000 healthy greyhounds are being killed every year. 8000 pups are not even get a chance to hit the track and the rest 10,000 retired greyhounds are just considered to be too slow to win.

Shut Them Down

There are eight countries in the world are still allowing greyhound racing. In United States, greyhound racing in 39 our of 49 states is illegal and their tracks have closed since 2001. Australia, the largest greyhound racing country in the world. According to a productivity commission review in Australia, although an estimated $4 billion is wagered on greyhound racing every year, that doesn’t generate any significant productivity benefits to the rest of the economy.

Bred for no other purpose than to race and win, greyhounds in Australia are literally running for their lives.
