It is Friday, the last day of work in a week. Well…at least to some people who works regular 9-5. I chose not to write anything that is work related, instead, choose to blog about my other favorite topic, animals.
A Two-Legged Pig
Zhu Jianqiang, a 10-month-old pig, was born with only two front legs now becomes a celebrity in Henan Province, China. Wang Xihai, the owner of Zhu said to the reporter, Zhu was one of the nine piglet born in a litter months ago. The disability makes Zhu being looked down by others, in fact, Wang (the owner of Zhu) was offered to sell Zhu to a circus but fortunately he turned it down.
Wang recalled that when his wife first saw Zhu from the litter, she told him to dump it but he refused with the reason of life can’t give away. He decided to give it a try and amazingly Zhu was survived healthily.
Few days after Zhu’s birth, Wang decided to teach this two-legged female piglet to walk by lifting it up on his tail. He recalls: “I trained her 30 minutes a day and after 30 days, she can literally walk by herself upside down with her two legs.”
Ever since the birth of this two-legged lovely pig, Wang’s home was besieged by visitors in most of the time. After he turned down the offer from the circus, they came back and offer even higher price but again, he throw them another disappointment. “She proved to us that no matter what form of life still has their choice to continue to live on,” Wang said. “I won’t sell it no matter how much the offer is because life is priceless.”
