Today I am going to share my experience about visiting the Aquarium of Pacific, Long Beach with anyone who is planning or will plan to go in the coming future. Very few people realize that this aquarium is the fourth largest aquarium in the United States. This amazing aquarium was founded in 1998 and has never stop with size since it ever established. It is a home to more than 1100 animals (mostly insides of the aquarium) and besides of that, the aquarium also sponsor the harbor tour and the sea life cruises in the Ocean just right outside it.
Starting in mid-2011, the tours and the special activities includes a one-hour “behind-the-scene tour” that shows you what is going on at feeding time, animal encounters with sea otters, seal and sea lions or sharks – or feed a bat ray.
Aquarium of Pacific with Kids
There are actually tons of things that you can do with your kids at this lovely aquarium. You can find loads of touching pool here than any similar facilities in the state and if you kids really love animals, an animal encounter might be the thing you should put on your special occasional list. The general admission is $29.95 for adult and $17.95 for child (3-11). There are different add-on packages such as “Behind the Scenes Tour” and the “4D film”. You can also purchase a combo to get an additional admission to one of the choices of Gray Whale Watch, Harbor Tour, Queen Mary/Diana Exhibit Admission, L.A. Zoo and the Natural History Museum. You can also join the aquarium memberships to get a 12-months annual pass for an unlimited visits with no black-out date (except Christmas day 12/25 of the year). For those who wants to spend your days with the family I will highly recommend the family memberships. For those membership users, don’t forget to get the parking vouchers the first time you arrived the aquarium, it gives you half the price for parking when you purchase 5 at a time.
Where is the Aquarium of the Pacific Located?

100 Aquarium Way
Long Beach, CA
We have spent our last weekend in the Aquarium and I found this is absolutely perfect for not such family but a very good spot for every one. It is just a place that can bring us so down-to-earth plus you can see thousands of animals running around you. That is actually a very amazing scene that you won’t find else where. Overall, I will rate 4.5 out of 5 for this Aquarium. I will definitely bring my family back again [this is the purpose of getting the family membership ;)]
